STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAU) – UW-Stevens Point is making it easier for students to get their degree in early education with some collaborative degree programs.
Advising coordinator Maggie Beeber says the programs will allow students at Nicolet College, North Central Technical College, and Mid-State Technical College access to the 4 year degree program at UWSP.
The program will allow credits from any of the three technical schools to roll over into a full 4 year degree at UWSP as well as allowing for long distance learning from any of the three sites. “Some people travel 2 hours one way for classes at UWSP, and not everybody can do that.” The program will also allow non-traditional students more flexibility in how they take their classes to get that degree.
Informational meetings for the program are scheduled for tomorrow at 6 pm at Mid-State, Monday at 7 pm at NTC, and Tuesday at 6 at Nicolet. All are free to the public.
