Two power play goals in the final six minutes by Brendan Smith gave the Wisconsin men's hockey team a 3-2 win over Michigan. More than 55 thousand fans were in Camp Randall Stadium braving a wind chill near 10 degrees to watch the Culver's Camp Randall Hockey Classic played outdoors. Smith pounded the game winner home with less than 90 seconds left on the clock. He had tied the score just four minutes before. The win boosts Wisconsin's record to 16-7-4.

 

The Wisconsin women's hockey team dispatched Bemidji State in the first game 6-1. Freshman Brianna Decker had a pair of goals in the win. Bemidji State won game 2 of the series Sunday afternoon 2-0. The Badger women are now 16-11-3 and will host Minnesota State-Mankato this weekend.

 

The Wisconsin women's basketball team dropped their Big Ten matchup at Purdue on Sunday 58-56. Chelsea Jones hit a jumper with 3 seconds left to give the Boilermakers the victory. Alyssa Karel led the Badgers with 13 points. Wisconsin is now 17-7 and tied for 3rd place in the Big Ten.

 

The Wisconsin mens basketball team used a hot hand to beat Michigan on Saturday 62-44 in Ann Arbor. The 16th ranked Badgers were led by Jason Bohannon with 18 points. Trevon Hughes had 14 and Jordan Taylor added 13 as they improved to 18-5.
