UNDATED (WSAU) Ashley Furniture says it has received strong response to its plans to open 300 lower-cost furniture stores this year.
The Wisconsin-based manufacturer says those stores will offer items at a single price -- like sofas for 399 dollars, rugs for 99 dollars, or dining room sets for 399 dollars. Ashley's first prototype is already open in a Pottstown, Pennsylvania, mall.
Ashley is the largest chain of furniture stores in the country with 390 locations.
