Construction employees donate to Goodwill

Miron Construction employees donated nearly 7,000 pounds of goods to the Goodwill Store in Weston on April 29, 2010. Overall, employees collected 30,000 pounds of donations as part of a competition that ended on Earth Day.

WESTON, Wis. (WSAU) – Local construction employees are making life easier for a Wausau-area non-profit.

Miron Construction donated nearly 7,000 pounds of gently-used clothing and other household goods today to the Goodwill Store in Weston. Employees collected the goods during a competition that ended on Earth Day.

“As much as the community gives to Miron Construction, we absolutely love to give back to them,” said executive assistant Heather Radtke. “It's something that makes you feel good.”

Overall, Miron collected 30,000 pounds of donated items that were split among five Goodwill stores in Wisconsin and Iowa.
